Common Name Alleizett's Calanthe - In China Chang Bing Xia Ji Lan

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Yunnan province of China and Vietnam in montane forests in limestone areas at elevations around 200 to 400 [1000 to 1700 meters China] meters as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with obscure, conic pseudobulbs enveloped by basal leaf sheaths and carrying 2, well developed at blooming, plicate, 5 veined, oblanceolate to lanceolate, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that bloooms in the summer on an erect, axillary, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, 10 flowered inflorescence with persistent, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.

The references to China may be in error, at this time I am not sure of which species they may pertain to.
