Found in Victoria and Tasmania Australia in heathlands, heathy forests and coastal scrub at elevations of sealevel to 80 meters as a miniature to just small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, terete, pilose, acute leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2 to 6.8" [2 t o17 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered, pilose inflorescence with short-lived, self pollinating flowers
