Common Name The Handsome Calanthe
Flower Size 2" [5 cm]
Found in the Philippines in damp forests at elevations of 290 to 485 meters as a giant sized, hot growing terrestrial with stems that are slightly thickened towards the base and carrying thin, plicate, slightly pubescent beneath leaves that blooms in the late spring through early fall an erect, axillary, racemose, 2' + [60 cm+] long, several to many [9 to 12] flowered inflorescence with persistent floral bracts.
