Found in Tasmania in lowland areas in moist to wettish sands, gravel and clay in shrubby forests at elevations around sealevel to 500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a narrow, linear, pubescent leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 3.2 to 6" [8 to 15 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence and carrying a flower with a sweet scent.
