Found in western Sichuan province of China in shady montane forests at elevations of 1675 to 2500 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with conic, small pseudobulbs carrying 3 not well developed at blooming, not deciduous, obovate-oblong, slightly undulate margin, acute to obtuse, petiolate-like base leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, axillary, densely puberulent, rachis to 1.6" [4 cm] long, usually to 10 flowered inflorescence with persistent ovate-lanceolate, membraneous, glabrous, acuminate floral bracts carrying pale yellow flowers.
