Found in Sichuan province of China in broad-leaved forests at elevations around 2000 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with very small pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 sheaths and carrying 3 to 4, basal, well developed at antithesis, not deciduous, elliptic to oblong, shortly acuminate, pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, peduncle puberulent, 8" [20 cm] long, usually provided with 2 tubular sheaths, rachis 1.6" [4 cm] long, laxly few flowered inflorescence with persistent, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, half as long as the ovary floral bracts.
