Common Name The Granite Occuring Caladenia - The Granite Spider Orchid

Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]

Found in southwest Western Australia in dense, low coastal heath in shallow gravelly soils on sheet granite at elevations around sealevel to 100 meters as a small to just medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, linear, pubescent leaf and blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
