Common Name or Meaning The Kong Kemul Calanthe [a Mountain in Borneo]

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Kalimantan Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial withpseudobulbs carrying 2 to more, oblong-elliptic,acuminate, acute, apiculate leaves that blooms in the spring and again in the fall on an erect, peduncle puberulous,10 to 16" [25 to 40 cm] long, several tubular bracted, rachis to 5.2" [13 cm] long, densely pubescent, to 15 flwoered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, sparsely pubescent floral bracts and carrying flowers that turn orange with age.
