Found on Luzon in the Philippines in mossy forests along trails at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying 4 to 5, narrowly lanceolate, plicate, basally clasping leaves taht blooms in the winter on an erect, to 16" [40 cm] long, wooly hairy, with persistent, closely adpressed bracts, rachis many flowered inflorescence carrying white, odorless flowers with a purplish lip.
