Found in Vietnam in deep shady primary evergreen closed dry to wet forests with bamboo on montane rocky granite slopes on large boulders along rocky streams or in secondary forests rich in primary elements at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with clustered, small pseudobulbs carrying elliptic, acuminate, glabrous, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, peduncle with 2 well spaced sheathing bracts, rachis 6" [ 15 cm] long, overall to 44" [100 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
