Common Name Limpricht's Calanthe [German Plant Collector in Asia 1900's] - In China Kai Chun Xia Ji Lan

Found in central Sichuan China in forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with subconic, very small pseudobulbs with 2 to 3 sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, well developed and speading at blooming, not deciduous, elliptic, glabrous, acuminate apically, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, puberulent, laxly many flowered inflorescence with persistent, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
