Common Name Mcgregor's Calanthe [American Original collector of species early 1900's]

Flower Size .5" [1.25 cm]

Found in the Philippines at elevations around 330 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing terrestrial with obscure pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, sparsely pubescent, peduncle with several, loose, tubular sheaths, overall to 36" [90 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, persistent floral bracts .
