Found in New South Wales Australia on ridges and slopes in open and heathy forests at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender to moderately robust stem with usually 2, loosely sheathing bracts and carrying a single, fully developed at blooming leaf that blooms in the mid spring and early summer on a 12 to 14" [30 to 55 cm] long, thin, 2 to 9 flowered inflorescence
