Found in South and Western Australia at elevations of 0 to 100 meters in mallee vegetation and tall shrublands on old consolidated dunes as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf reduced to a sheathing bract that blooms in the later winter and spring on an erect, 6 to 20" [15 to 50 cm] long, 1 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
