Common Name Paterson's Caladenia - The Cream Spider Orchid
Flower Size to 4" [ to 10 cm]
Found in Victoria and Tasmania Australia at elevations of 5 to 50 meters in low heathlands and heathy forests as a just medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 10 to 13" [25 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
This speces is stimulated to bloom by summer fires.
