Found in southwestern Western Australia on moist flats in wandoo forests at elevations around 200 to 350 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, linear, pubescent leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence and carrying strongly burnt metal scented flowers
