Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Bangka Island and Borneo in podosol forests at elevations of 400 to 500 meters as a hot growing terrestrial with petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, 12" [30 cm] long, rachis 3.2" [8 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with flowers that have bright golden yellow tepals and an orange scarlet lip.
