Common Name The S Shaped Caladenia [refers to the lip shape ending in a club]- The Sigmoid Spider Orchid

Flower Size .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm]

Found in southwestern Western Australia in mallee vegetation, granite outcrops and on sheltered slopes of banded ironstone hills at elevations around 100 to 350 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, linear, pubescent leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
