Found in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos along tributaries to the Mekong at elevations of 200 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing orchid with clusterd, longly pyramidal, 4 to 5 annular ringed pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 3, lanceolate, attenuate-acute, membraneous, plicate, 5 to 7 nerved, narrwoing into petiolate base leaves that blooms without leaves in the later fall and winter on a lateral to the pseudobulb, soft pubescent, 7.2 to 12" [18 to 30 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with 3 spathe like, acuminate bracts with long weak hairs.
