Common Name or Meaning The Tungyuan Calanthe [A mountain on Taiwan]

Found in Taiwan on montane slopes on fallen, rotten tree trunk at elevations around 1335 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial/epiphyte with a simple to branched at base, up to 18" []45 cm long, erect to ascending, green to pale green, glabrous, upper part of stem usually covered by leaf sheath and carrying alternate, sessile, plicate, oblong to ovate-oblong, acuminate and caudate at apex, sheathed at base, chartaceous, smooth, many-veined, without any color spots, glabrous leaves with tubular-like, green, glabrous sheathes that blooms in the later fall on an erect to ascending, green, glabrous to pubescent on the upper part, 6 to 11.4" [15 to 238 cm] long, overall, rachis 2 to 3.6" [5 to 9 cm] long, green, pubescent, nonspotted, 9 to 14 flowered inflorescence with linear, acute, caduous, shorter than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying nonfragrant, orange yellow flowers,
