Found mainly in the Grampians area of western Victoria, Australia, at elevations of 150 to 200 meters among small shrubs in open woodlands as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a single, thin, linear leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, to 10" [25 cm] tall, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
