Common Name The Yaoshan Mountain Calanthe [A Mountain in Yunnan China

Found in Yunnan China at elevations of 2700 to 1900 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with conical pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, elliptic-lanceolate to oblong lanceolate, acuminate, not fully developed at flowering, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, peduncle very finely puberulent, 7.6" [19 cm] long, with 2 to 3, ovate, acuminate sheaths, rachis finely puberulent, 2 to 7.2" [5 to 18 cm] long, lax to 13 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, glabrous floral bracts and carrying greenish yellow flowers.
