Found in New Guinea in forests at elevations of 100 to 450 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with densely leafy stem carrying erect-spreading, narrowly linear, acute leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a thin almost threadlike, setiform, flexuous, very lax, 1 to 2 [rare] 3 branched, 1.5 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with minute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are yellowish.
