Found in western Sikkim and Bhutan on the forest floor at elevations of 1400 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 3, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, channeled petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, peduncle 4.8 to 10.4" [12 to 26 cm] long, rachis 2 to 2.8" [5 to 7 cm] long, terete, puberulous, overall 8 to 13.4" [20 to 33 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with a single lanceolate bract and lanceolate floral bracts and carrying mildly fragrant flowers
