Found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina in subxerophytic to subtropical forests as a warm to cool growing epiphyte with thick, elongate roots arising all along a scandent stem enveloped by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying distichous, fleshy, unequally bifid apically, linear, curved leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on a lateral, .8" [2 cm] long, densely many flowered, 2 ranked inflorescence
