Found in Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Matto Grosso, Parana', Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul states of Brazil as a medium szied, cool growing leafy epiphyte with a compressed, cylindrical, fragile stem carrying fleshy, triquetrous, regularily distichous, linear-subulate, canaliculate leavs that blooms in the fall and spring on much shorter and opposite the leaves, distichous, densely few flowered inflorescence
