Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela and Peru in hot lowlands at elevations of 50 to 100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte without leaves but has elongate, white to light brown roots radiating from a central mass that blooms in the winter on 1 to several, erect, to 1.2 to 2.6" [3 to 6.5 cm] long, distichous, 5 to 9 flowered inflorescence.
