Found in Loreto department of Peru in tropical rainforest at elevations around 400 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 4 to 7, elliptic-oblanceolate, acuminate, petiolate clasping base leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a suberect, 10 to 12" [25 to 30 cm] long, 9 to 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying relatively small flowers for the genus.
