Common Name or Meaning The Ferocious Catasetum

Found in Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana? in open savannahs at elevations of 100 to 200 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with an ovoid pseudobulb carrying a few, plicate leaves that blooms on an erect, few to several flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
