Found in Venezuela and Colombia in humid forests at elevations of 100 to 200 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with unusually dark green, thick, plicate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, few flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers
