Common Name The Santa Catarina Catasetum [A state of Brazil]

Flower Size 2.4" [6 cm]

Found in Santa Catarina state of Brazil at elevations around 70 to 100 meters as a hot growing epiphyte described from an inflorescence only that blooms in the late fall on a basal, arching, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, 10 to 12 flowered inflorescence.

Similar to C socco but differs in several floral characteristic such as the concave lip with parellel nerves in the central part, the broadly rounded apex, and the green concave lip base that is partly white.
