Found in Mato Grosso state of Brazil at elevations of 100 to 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, fusiform pseudobulbs carrying up to 8, oblanceolate, wavy margined, plicate leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, peduncle to 5" [12.5 cm] long, to 10" [25 cm] long overall, to 10 flowered inflorescence
