Found in Santander department of Colombia at elevations around 770 meters as a medium sized, warm growing lithophyte with erect, cylindric-conical, elongate, sometimes curved pseudobulb carrying about 5, plicate, 3 veined beneath, narrowly linear-ellitic leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, erect to arcuate, 16 to 60" [40 to 150 cm] long, provided with 5 braqcts, 5 to 26 flowered inflorescence.
