Found in Bahia and Parana' states of Brazil as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with oblong-fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths carrying plicate, oblong-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms on a reclining to ascending, robust, 10" [25 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence
