Common Name Pohl's Catasetum

Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil in Atlantic rainforests at elevations of 10 to 1000 meters as a just large sized, hot growing natural hybrid between C bertioguense and C socco with lustered, fusiform pseudobulbs carrying arched, oblong-lanceolate, arcuate, pseudopetiolate base leaves taht blooms in the late spring and early fall on a male, lendent, racemose, basal, 8 to 10" [20 to 25 cm] long, to 12 flowered inflorescence enveloped by stem clasping bracts and carrying up to 12, resupinate or not flowers .
