Found in Amazonas state of Brazil at elevations around 100 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with oblong-fusiform, several noded, erect, sulcate and rugose with age pseudobulbs carrying oblong-lanceolate, undulate margins, prominently veined dorsally, plicate leaves that blooms in the late summer on a male, lateral, arcuate, reddish, peduncel to 6" [15 cm] long, to 12" [30 cm] long overall, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, acute floral bracts and carrying patent, resupinate flowers.
