Common Name Bicolored Cattleya

Flower Size 4" [10 cm]

Found in Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo states of Brazil as a medium to large sized, cool to warm growing orchid with long and slender, clustered, jointed, grooved pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, oblong-lorate, coriaceous, obtuse leaves which blooms in the spring and early summer and occasionally again in the fall on a terminal, short, 1 to several [7] flowered inflorescence arising through a large basal sheath and giving rise to a heavy textured, highly fragrant, spicy to aromatic floral scented, long-lived flower that is not often seen in hybridizing.
