Common Name Tomaselli's Catasetum [Brazilian Forestry Engineer current]

Found in Para state of Brazil in rocky mountainous regions at elevations around 160 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with oblong-fusiform, in maturity sulcate, rugose, several noded, erect pseudobulbs enveloped basally by foliaceous sheaths and carrying oblong-lanceolate, green, undulate margins, prominent midrib vein dorsally leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a lateral, green, racemose, arched, shorter than the longest leaves, 6.4" [16 cm] long, 18 flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, acute, green floral bracts and carrying resupinate flowers.
