Found in Peru in wet montane forests at elevations of 700 to 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 4 to 5, lanceolate, acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer through fall on a male, arching-pendent, peduncle 3.6" [9 cm] long, to 16" [40 cm] long overall, 12 to 18 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
