Common Name Schunk's Cattleya [Brazilian discoverer of natural hybrid current]
Flower Size 3.6" [9 cm]
Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elvations around 1500 meters as a medium sized, cool growing natural hybrid between C porphyroglossa and C warneri with strong, cylindric-fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 23, apical, coriaceous, rigid, elliptic leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, short, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence.
