Common Name The Green Yellow Catasetum

Found in Honduras, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at lower elevations as a large sized, hot growing epiphyte with slightly compressed, fusiform, clustered pseudobulbs that are completely enveloped by basal leaf sheaths when young and become papery with age carrying deciduous, linear-lanceolate, plicate leaves that blooms in the summer with a many flowered, 13" [33 cm] long, racemose inflorescence.
This species is often found in conjunction with ants and may actually benefit from their presence.
