Common Name or Meaning The Large Callosity Caucaea

Found in Ecuador at higher elevations as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with narrowly ovate, rounded, ancipitous, laterally compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, thinly coriaceous, lanceolate, acute apically, plicate towards the base leaves that blooms on a racemose, arising from the half-developed new growth, about 8 to 10" [20 to 25 cm] long, peduncle erect, straight, about 7.2" [18 cm] long, rachis commonly 3 flowered inflorescence.
