Common Name The Large-Horned Centroglossa
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in the Serra Do Mar of Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil in pluvial forests at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to warm growng epiphyte with clustered, ovoid-oblong, slightly compressed, smooth becoming sulcate with age pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 leaf bearing sheaths and carrying a single apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly lanceolate, canoe-shaped, acute, attenuate below into the pseudopetiolate base leaf that blooms in the later winter and early spring on a shorter than the leaf, to .4" [1 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
