Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with miniscule, elongate-oblong pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblong, acute, attenuate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an ascending, as long or longer than the leaf, 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence
