Found in New Guinea at elevations around 800 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to thin, filiform pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, glabrous, slightly furrowed above, subulate-filiform, terete, acute leaf that blooms in the fall on an apical, fasciculate, several flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are a muddy reddish color with white petals and a pale yellow fronted lip
