Found in Penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Borneo at elevations of 1000 to 2200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, single noded stems carrying a single, apical, linear, acute, fleshy leaf that blooms in the winter on a terminal, short, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by dried bracts and have hairy pedicels and carry, fragrant flowers that do not open well.
