Found in the Philippines in mossy forests on tunks and branches of small trees and bushes at elevations of 1200 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with barrel shaped, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a single, elliptic-lanceolate, very fleshy, deeply grooved, cylindrical, petiolate based leaf to slender, sword-like, grooved petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short inflorescence that arises from the mid point of the pseudobulb with 1 to 16, clustering, faintly scented flowers open at any one time and has persistent, tubular floral bracts.
