Found in the Philippines on montane ridges at elevations around 975 to 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a branching rhizome enveloped by chartaceous, imbricate, tight fitting sheaths snd oblong lanceolate, acute, coriaceous, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer from a cluster of bracts, single flowered inflorescence.
