Common Name The Truncate Ceratostylis [refers to the lip]

Found in western Sumatra in montane forests at elevations around 1700 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a long, pendulous, branching rhizome with 1" [2.5 cm] between each, adpressed to the rhizome, very short, oval in cross-section pseudobulbs carrying a single, lanceolate, acuminate, shortly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter from fasciles of .8" [2 cm] long, wooly, single flowered inflorescence.
