Found in Sumatra and Java at elevations of 800 to 2600 meters as a miniature sized but large mat growing, warm to cold growing trunk epiphyte with a creeping, branching rhizome with .8 to 2" between each short stem carrying single, apical, very narrowly lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on a to a few short, single flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, acute floral bracts
Quite distinct because of the very long creeping rhizome.
